I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering.

This quote by Steven Wright perfectly describes our everyday journey of
life!

Many a times when I'm daydreaming I find my thoughts following a long never-ending chain of instances; one followed by another! And after I realize that I've very much deviated from my original dream, I try and follow the chain in a reverse manner! It's fun to be an ADDer, isn't it?

Anyone with similar experiences??

hahaha yep.. i am the same but especially when I am talking..I jump from one subject to the next literally going through 10 different subjects per minute and then when I try to remember what I was talking about, I dont remember :-(
You betcha. It's irritating when I'm trying to think about my writing and I wonder if I have an e-mails. Now, about my writing and is it time for lunch? My writing... I wonder what Dana's up to? Oh yes, time to take the rubbish out.
Sorry, what was the question?
exactly the story of my life, you don't know how much I am looking forward to my assessment appointment next week so I can finally get medication.
I see by the comments, that we are in agreement on this! I'm doing it right now..lol. Don't ya wish we could get a "Disable Pop Up Blocker" for our minds? But on the other hand, at times, some of my greatest ideas "Pop Up"......Just need to put em into action...theres the delema.
Oh my God!! What a great quote. It is so spot on regarding the rambling thoughts of the ADDer! Thanks for sharing it. Tess

Oh, my gosh, this is such a problem for me. It takes me forever to get cleaned up to go any where. I try to keep on task but before I know it 's been two hours and I've solved most of the worlds problems and every one is mad at me. I don't get it?:) I think they are more worried about how I solved the worlds problems verus running late. I think it is their problem. LOL
Oh yes my friend, and I follow many of those thoughts with action too...which is why I'm in a state of pertpetual motion if I don't rein it in ;)

I'm able to relax more and more though these days and what do you suppose the result is? Hours spent on literally nothing more than daydreaming and listening to music. (4-6-8-10 hours, whatever's available) It's pretty cool being able to entertain yourself so easily!

Scott: "disable pop up blocker"...HAAAAA so perfect!
Thank You Katy! For me, daydreaming and listening to music....those are my best moments, when the world will stop and let me off to rest and let me have a moment of serenity...for a moment. A little scrap that fell of the table, taste's better than honey, when I am starving.
Oh yes, ALL the time until I got medicated, then the daydreams pretty much stopped, and so did the incessant writing; (hypergraphia). Those are the "bad" things about the meds, but I also went from weekly migraines to maybe 3 or 4/year.
