A few weeks ago, as I dumped the dirty laundry into a laundry basket for washing, I remembered that I hadn't yet put on my make-up.  I immediately left the laundry basket on the floor with the intentions of going back to it as soon as I finished applying my make-up.  After the makeup, I remained at the table and started fooling around with my hair, I sorted my earrings, and was downloading some podcasts on my iPod when my husband came along, picked up the laundry basket and brought it downstairs to put the clothes in the washer.  That's when I realized that I had completely forgotten all about the laundry that I had left on the floor.  I had to laugh because it was just another ADD Moment.

That is too funny...lol

Adam I will admit I HAVE done that.......................embarrassingly so at least 25x's.

HOWever, that was during the 17yr period of not being medicated.

hehe

I was in the middle of an evening catch-up conversation with my husband when I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to comb my hair in the morning, so I just got up and went to do that.  While I was doing that, I remembered I had also forgotten to wash my face, so I did that.  Then I wandered into the kitchen, saw my lunch that I had forgotten to take to work, opened the bag and proceeded to scarf down all the snacks while gazing at the TV.  I went upstairs, changed into my favourite jammies, came back down into the living only to realize that my husband was still talking about his day.  I laughed til I cried, and he was bewildered about why I was laughing so hard, but I couldn't explain because I was laughing too hard. When I finally calmed down and told him that I had been "gone" for a while, he laughed too, saying he thought I was actually nearby and could hear him.  After 30 years he still has a great sense of humour and finds me endlessly amusing:)  It's not like it hasn't happened before LOL
I yearn for a man like this! XD

I'm with you on this one.

yes.  Know of any?

I would have laughed too....lol

Judy, it's wonderful that your husband has a sense of humor and can laugh about your moments.  Many spouses get angry.  Your husband is great.

i would like one too!!

I was out in my yard a few weeks ago trying to determine how to clean up these fall leaves. I started out by blowing the leaves to make a pile then start putting them in bags. well as I started to blow I started to feel I was not making any progress. I started to feel overwhelmed and after blowing for 4hours I stopped and went into the house. I got angry because I felt that I was not making any progress. I hired someone to do it for me....

I'm glad that you had an option and it sure made things easier for you.

Lately, it has been brought to my attention I am having conversations in my head and not actually with the person. I'm convinced and even have arguements about what I said in great detail, only to discover the conversation never took place. This makes me crazy! How can you forget if you actually talked to someone or not....grin
