I have some interesting news!

Tomorrow, I have an interview to work with a Christian chiropractor as a Nutritional Consultant. The office is only five minutes from my home and working with a Believer will be an extra blessing!

My position would require me to head up a weight loss program, sell holistic supplements, provide client consultations, educate clients about diet, nutrition and weight loss as well as help out with administrative duties, assist the chiropractor with patient care and provide X-rays for the clients.

I have not worked a steady, permanent job for over 1 1/2 years, due to the fibromyalgia and four bulging discs. However, I have been doing much better and I truly miss working outside the home. I am a "people person" and I need the social stimulation of working with others.

Please say a prayer for me tomorrow when I go on this job interview at 12:30 PM. Pray that God will intervene on my behalf to work out all of the details involving this position and pray for God to clearly reveal if I should take this job or not.

I have just returned from my job interview. During the 30 minute job interview, the chiropractor paused for a moment and then said, "I need to be open about one of my concerns with you.....I love your energy, your outgoing personality and that you are very likable, but I am concerned about you spending too much time talking with the patient, not being able to focus and not staying on task."

WOW! How on earth did this man have the ability to figure me out that quickly? I am shocked that this chiropractor totally understood my challenges with talking too much, focusing and staying on task!

Of course, I behaved professional and calmly said that once I get into a set routine at work, I am better equipped to stay on task, to focus and to not waste time chatting. I confidently told the chiropractor to contact my last employer because I am positive that my previous supervisor would be happy to discuss my ability to multi-task, successfully organize and stay on task. Yes, they will share that I am very outgoing, but it is a positive trait in which I will help my clients to feel comfortable and at ease.

I walked out of the office trusting that I provided my very best during the interview and at this point, if it is meant to be, God will open the door of opportunity, but if it is not God's will then the door will close. Either way, I trust that God has this in His complete control.
