Thank you all for your encouraging words. This is a new experience for the first time in my exsistence I am not being a caregiver. I really desire to settle down and have a family of my own and be taken care of. Knowing I am loved and can vent on here is so encouraging. I don't know if I will able to be at the spreading of his ashes, but I do know I need to feel and let myself grieve. I just pray that people would come to know Christ throught this and find His freedom and healing. I would also love one day to be a motivational speaker, advocating and loving people as they are. My story is so diverse and if I had to live life over or could change one thing I used to say there was nothing, but realistically it would be to advocate for my parents more and get to know them. I am so thankful my dad and mom are reunited, but still overwhelmed. How I long to have a safe loving home and be part of ministry and bringing hope to those who have none. This is my heart exposed.

Hi Bell!
You're loved. Remember God loves you unconditionally, no matter what.
I know it can be tough when parents die.
When my mother passed away, I didn't know what to ask for what others could help. I felt alone, it seemed that no one could share my feelings. It seemed like no one could help me to make me feel better. But now I know that God's always there. Perhaps no human I could let in, but God is already inside me, with me, so I'm not alone.
Remember, this too shall pass.
It's been 7 years since my mom died, and I'm already feeling better than back when I felt I would never feel better.
This too shall pass.
God is always with you.

Hello Bell, I'm so sorry for your loss. To loose someone is to grow stronger within yourself. I just lost my grandfather he was 94. I get through it like this, their not in anymore pain or suffering. And their with god now. It is going to be ruff just remember to let your body go through all greaving steps. take care and take of yourself when your down you forget about taking care of yourself . your friend sherry

Hello all,
my dad died last wednesday Nov. 11 of bowel cancer. He was 65, I am not yet 30, both my parents are gone and there are a lot of complications with this death. Please pray that I do not become bitter and pray for those who at this time who are also struggling!! People ask me what I need right now, and the biggest thing I need is to be reassured I am loved. I am also applying for adhd friendly work at a camp for hopefully my little family (my dogs) and I to have a home.

Wrap your lightning fast minds around this: Everything that God has done for us is in the spiritual! His work is eternally complete! Everything that God does in our lives flows from the finished work He completed in our spirit, including our connection to Him in The Spirit.

The exercise of our faith and authority in Christ is enacted, or transacted primarily and mostly through our verbal declarations, commands, prayers, and announcements.

This is why we need The Word of God to guide our life-conversation and declarations. Can I get a witness?

The Tree story sounded like some of the stories that my beloved grand mother would tell me . She taught me that god loved us all even with our flaws .

Being What God Means Us To Be

Thomas Merton


A tree gives glory to God by being a tree. For in being what God means it to be it is obeying [God]. It 'consents,' so to speak, to [God's] creative love. It is expressing an idea which is in God and which is not distinct from the essence of God, and therefore a tree imitates God by being a tree.

The more a tree is like itself, the more it is like [God]. If it tried to be like something else which it was never intended to be, it would be less like God and therefore it would give [God] less glory....

This particular tree will give glory to God by spreading out its roots in the earth and raising its branches into the air and the light in a way that no other tree before or after it ever did or will do... .

The special clumsy beauty of this particular colt on this April day in this field under these clouds is a holiness consecrated to God by [God's] own creative wisdom and it declares the glory of God.

The pale flowers of the dogwood outside this window are saints. The little yellow flowers that nobody notices on the edge of that road are saints looking up into the face of God. This leaf has it own texture and its own pattern of veins and its own holy shape, and the bass and trout hiding in the deep pools of the river are canonized by their beauty and their strength. The lakes hidden among the hills are saints, and the sea too is a saint who praises God without interruption in her majestic dance.

The great, gashed, half-naked mountain is another of God's saints. There is no other like him. He is alone in his own character; nothing else in the world ever did or ever will imitate God in quite the same way. That is his sanctity.
