While studying to hopefully teach a lengthy teaching on the Our Father I thought about the word OUR. It speaks of belonging, of togetherness, of unity of community. It speaks of those united in the Father - those who have gone to heaven already, those who are here, those who have yet to be born...It speaks of the body of Christ, of the fellowship of all believers...of the oneness.
We so often concentrate on the divisions - on what each different church believes - on where this church is wrong and that one is way out there...how those believers don't cut their hair and those recite memorized prayers and on and on...but Jesus let us know right in this one word that the first thing we are to concentrate on is the oneness of all believers, not on the differences. ( He further emphasizes this when He says 'Judge not lest ye be judged).
What kind of a world do you think this would be - what kind of a church do you think we would have - if everyone focused on what we all have in common instead? One body, one Lord, one baptism, one Spirit ---as the Word says...or think about the power we would have. When the twelve were gathered in the upper room and they prayed --in one accord--the Holy Spirit came down and filled each one. It changed forever the entire church.
So what do you think would happen if we focused on being in one accord? What a concept...huh?
Imagine all the believers who have ever been, who are and who will be, all holding hands around the globe -- all praying this one model prayer in one accord. Do you think that evil would ever again have a foothold in this world? I doubt it...The Lord said that one could chase a thousand and two ten thousand...and so on...
Imagine the power we would have if we'd put our eyes on the most important thing - what we all have in common and we completely forgot about what we disagree about...

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might...

So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown,his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!

You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved.." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and
disheartened the man.

Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."

That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter.What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.

Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.

But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.

Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the
rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves the mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong....... ......... ......... Just P.U.S.H.

When the job gets you down........ ......... ......... Just P.U.S.H.

When people don't do as you think they should...... ......... Just P.U.S.H.

When your money is "gone" and the bills are due......... ......Just P.U.S.H.

When people just don't understand you......... ......... .......Just P.U.S.H.

P = Pray
U = Until
S = Something
H = Happens

Pass this on to all your loved ones and friends who may need it; they may get it just in time. "Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."

Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. May God Bless You.

What It Means to Live By One's Faith
by David Wilkerson | February 9, 2009

COVER LETTER
February 9, 2009
Dearly Beloved:
IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW DOWNCAST YOU GET — GOD WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU!
Satan’s great work against God’s people is discouragement. Within moments of enjoying a spiritual victory, every believer becomes a target for the powers of hell. The devil attacks us with lies about our marriage, our friendships, our calling. He replays in our minds every sin, failure and foolish thing we’ve ever done. By the time he’s finished we’re crying, “Lord, I’ll never make it!”
David was brought so low by a demonic spirit that he was dumbfounded in God’s presence. “I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. Thus I was as a man…in whose mouth are no reproofs” (Psalm 38:13–14). This last phrase means “a man who has no arguments left.” David was saying, “Lord, I’m too discouraged to even lift my hand. I can’t pray because I’m too confused to speak. My spirit is drained and empty. I have nothing to say.”
I tell you, David’s trial was not unique. I have read many biographies of devout men and women whom the Lord used mightily, and every one of these people struggled through the same kind of crippling discouragement. David voiced the universal cry of the righteous soul that endures an attack of discouragement: “I am ready to halt [fall], and my sorrow is continually before me” (38:17). David was saying, “Lord, I’m not going to make it. I’m at my absolute end, about to fall.”
If you’re enduring an attack from a demonic spirit of discouragement, I suggest you do three things: (1) Do not try to maneuver your way out of your trial. The battle is far beyond your human skill or power to wage. (2) When the attack comes don’t think it is unusual. God allows this kind of fiery testing with all his saints. (3) Go to prayer, giving the Holy Spirit time to do his work. When you’re under discouragement you won’t feel like praying. But you still must go to your secret place to be in Jesus’ presence. It is the Spirit’s job to lift you out of your pit.
In such low times the Lord is very patient with us. He knows our condition and he sympathizes with us. If you don’t have the strength to speak, reach out to him in your spirit, and trust the Spirit to do his work in you. Say in your heart, “Lord, I know your Spirit abides in me. I know you have sent him to comfort me, strengthen me and reveal the mind of Christ to me. Holy Spirit, I turn to you now in simple faith. Speak to my heart your words of comfort. I have no strength left; you have to lift me up and lead me.”
Dare to believe he will speak to you. You’re not going to faint. Indeed, you’ll come out of your trial more victorious because your faith will have been tested and tried as gold. Watch and see the Lord fulfill every promise he has made to you.

Fibromyalgia is directly related to the central nervous system. (What is the most interesting fact is that ADHD is also related to the CNS.) Yes, it is definitely a neurological condition, but many Rheumatologists treat this condition, too. The primary symptoms of fibromyalgia include widespread musculoskeletal pain, severe fatigue, and disturbed sleep. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

I was first diagnosed in March 2008 and my life has changed drastically ever since. I went to a second specialist for a second opinion and I had much thorough testing done. The testing confirmed that I do have primary fibromyalgia. I start going to a pain clinic soon for physical therapy, occupational therapy and counseling with a psychologist.

Thank you, Nanette and everyone else for your thoughts and prayers!
