To true. The simple truth is on the hard work and sweat of workers and small businesses will turn this recession around. That's where the real growth is.

Last time I checked, you can't spend your way out of debt...

the irony for me is both sides admit that the "stimulus" package is flawed, yet there's some kind of crazy group think going on that say we HAVE to pass one this month.

if they wanted to stimulate the economy, they could cut payroll taxes and put money back into everyone's pocket. (Especially the little guys like us...)

It's a mess here in Michigan, as with the rest of the country. Every other person I know is looking for work. Many of our patients come in stating they are losing their homes. The elderly, retired folks are worried about insurance, which they are losing by Jan. This trickle down effect is going to lead us into a depression. We can't get loans so who can buy anything?
I have my 5 year old , 95k mile care. My little 1000sqft house and that's all I need. I've never needed more.
I've thought about taking someone in that needs a new start, a lady with one child kind of thing.
Oh and the animals that are being taken to the shelters is just about killing me...totally. I can't even think of that....sigh

I think the big guys need to step down. They've made enough money to support themselves for the rest of their lives, seriously. GM's idiot actually only lives in Mich 5 days a week!!!!!He goes home to OREGON every Friday to his family. Then flys back here on Monday. Private jets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2 cents about the co's are that if "we" because it will be "us" paying for the bail out...everyone who needs a car, should get one - free, well after taxes, of course :) It is bullshit as to their income, and practices of over spending to come and beg for more money! I need help with my gas and electric, do you think they will help us little people? Humm, wonder how that would go over, a bunch of regular Joe's asking for a bail out of our own!!

I usually hit the free press right after work. Online. For months all I read about in Detroit was KK, our wonderful Mayor (currently in jail). Now it's the auto co's . This Country is going to hell in a hand basket. I think greed is the number one killer of our economy.

I think the auto co's should file and reorganize. Drop the unions, upper management ( you know,the ones that fly to D.C. on private jets to ask for 25 bil bailout cash) and hire back those workers with good work records. Can we say depression, financial and mental, if these co's go down completely. Argh.
