I've been prescribed the generic version of adderall since my health care plan does not cover prescriptions at all. Problem is that it's still quite a bit of money and unfortunately I don't know if I can afford it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Methamphetamine salts are the generic version of Adderall. They're very inexpensive, but I've heard people respond to them differently (it's not Adderall). But it's cheap enough to try. Maybe it will work for you - ask your MD.

My husband just lost his job and our medical coverage. I definitely can not afford the expense of Adderall. I called my pharmacy to inquire how much self-pay costs for Adderall and they said it was close to $500. OMG!
Here is some valuable information regarding resources to apply to for assistance with medication. These programs are usually directly with pharmaceutical companies who are helping low income families and individuals. First you have to apply and see if you are eligible. Make sure that you know upfront what your annual income is presently because this program is based on your income.
THIS ONE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR VYVANSE. I discovered that Adderall is not in the program so my alternative is Vyvanse. If you are taking Concerta, Ritalin or other meds, there are other resources to guide you to the right pharmaceutical company that provides an assistance program for that particular drug.
