Welcome ladies and gentlemen to ADDer World, the new experience! As you have undoubtedly noticed ADDer World has changed a bit. It has been a long time in the coming and I have finally found the proper platform for my vision of creating a community of caring people with the concern surrounding ADHD.

ADDer World started out as my personal blog for collecting links to websites and sharing my thoughts and opinions and, as you can probably tell by the name, I always intended ADDer World to be more. The publication of my book “One Boy’s Struggle: A Memoir – Surviving Life with Undiagnosed ADD” has been monumental for me, and I hope, the ADHD community. It is being read by people from all walks of life and is also bringing new readers to ADDer World. ADDer World has also been mentioned and linked to on other Blogs and websites across the internet, which also bring new readers to ADDer World daily.

The popularity and awareness of www.ADDerWorld.com has created a unique and special opportunity for the creation of an interactive experience beyond comments, forums and blogs. ADDer World, with the power of NING has become a social networking site where members can create forums, blogs, have a personalized webpage and also create your very own groups. You can also share videos, music and other mediums with each other – what’s more is that most of your creations will appear on the front page for all members to find. You can use the popularity of ADDer World, and the potential of new readers in the future via my book, to your advantage by meeting new people and creating pages to promote your websites and activities. You can use your created groups and WebPages on ADDer World for just about anything you want as long as it is in good taste and appropriate to all who might visit. I have final control over all content and as long as members take the high road, do not flame, degrade or are disrespectful to anyone I will not interrupt; however, if I feel any content is inappropriate I reserve the right to delete it and/or ban members – I hope I don’t have to do any of that, so remember would you want your parents or children to view your content? Each member will be held strictly responsible for any content provided on their Webpage or Group etc... I take no responsibility for anyone’s content other than my own.

Membership is free, I may include premium features in the future; however, general memberships will remain free. There is an advertising space on the right side of each and every ADDer World page (with exception to my original blog), this advertising space is not currently used by me, it is used by NING and I receive no payment for it; however, if there is an interest to advertise on ADDer World, then contact me directly and we can discuss terms. At that time I will decide if I take over the advertising space.

Groups are not automatically featured on the main page. I have control over which Groups will be featured on the main page and will reserve the main page for those groups which actively promote ADDer World. Because of limited space for featuring groups this may become a rotational basis and further adjustments may be made in the future. If you already provide links on other websites to ADDer World, let me know about them so I can feature your group on the main page.

Members can also create 'events' - do you have something going on that members can participate in? Do you have a Blog Radio airing? Promote it by using the events area. Consider that this is an ADHD community site and all content should relate in some way or another to ADHD, even if not directly. There is also an internal email system you can use to send each other private messages and even broadcast a message to all the members of your group.

Welcome to ADDer World, Join, participate and be a partner for anyone and everyone related to ADHD in some way or another. Together we can make a difference!

P.S. The social networking of ADDer World is in its test phase and changes may be made in the future. I incur all costs for maintaining ADDer World, therefore I may include ways I can support ADDer World in the future.
