Although I lived way before the advent of rock & roll, I believe the following groups would be found on my "playlist" today: Journey, Genesis, the Byrds, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, The Animals, just to name a few.
Known for my great observational skills, I never believed they would influence the world on such a grand scale. My childlike fascination with the natural world and the extent of it's beauty started at a very early age. When I was eight years old, my mom died. This was so devastating, that I could only find solace in taking long walks. During these walks I collected minerals and shells, which I added to my starfish collection.
Both my father and grandfather were doctors, and I was expected to follow in their footsteps. But, like most revolutionary thinkers, I was unfulfilled by formal academic study and could succeed without it. The lectures bored me and medical procedures were a total turn off since anesthesia was not in use. My love of science did not stop me from considering bible study, but I couldn't imagine a future in the Church. The next few decades were quite fulfilling, even though my relatives and most of my peers were unable to vision whatever beauty was seen through my eyes. Despite the fact that I was gone for long periods of time, I knew my work bugged the hell out of them.
Can you guess who I am?
P.S. Anyone who knows me, is aware of my open-mindedness, so it is only natural that from all of the revolutionary minds in history, this is the person I have chosen to select.........Laurie
