Dana,
Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll ponder the option of putting myself out there with a little more seriousness..eventually. I don't know if you've ever seen the movie "What about Bob?" (It's my all time favorite movie) but I often th…
Having ADD impacts every aspect of our lives and also impacts the lives of those that we love. I think that it does make it harder to have healthy relationships and it is a lot of work..
I know that in my past love relationships I was drawn towards…
Hi Colleen,
It's really my pleasure. It's so nice to feel understood, isn't it? I find that I am much more who I want to be when I have a couple of other ADDers in my life. I don't know if it's because I grew up with my dad and my brother, who are…
Emily,
Thanks so much sharing your thoughts. Just knowing that you get what I am talking about makes me smile and feel better about my crazy brain. I have learned so much about my"condition" since my diagnosis and I am well aware of my tendancy towa…
HI Colleen!
I know exactly what you mean, obviously, or else, why would I be here, right? I just think it's really important that ADDers vocalize our empathy to each other because I find the hardest thing about this... what do I call it...? Conditi…
I discovered that I had ADD as an adult about 8 years ago I attended a seminar about ADD because my son had been diagnosed with it and quickly realized that the speakers were talking about me. When I went from Dental Hygienist to Dental Hygiene Instructor my ADD became (and still is) a real issue..I almost lost my job due to it(that's another story for another day), but with the help of my union, and my ADD coach I fought back and for better or for worse, I am still teaching. It is a daily challenge for me to understand appreciate and survive this thing called ADD.

Hi! I have a beauty group on ADDer World called "GIRLY GIRLS BEAUTY GUIDE" and you are welcome to join the group. It is a fun place to share our beauty tips and techniques! Have a wonderful day!
Hello & Welcome Colleen! I can totally relate to your challenges with being a Dental Hygiene Instructor. I was working in the medical field as a Surgical Technician in the OR and it was very challenging trying to keep up with all that was involved with the job. After two years, I eventually left the medical field and went back into the beauty field, which is the area that I am the most passionate about.
This is an excellent website to meet others who have ADHD, who are parents of kids with ADHD and to learn more. Feel free to check out the groups because there is something for everyone!
