About me & Relation to ADHD or other condition?: My two kids, ages 11 & 18 were diagnosed with ADHD, while their 14 year old sister has been diagnosed with inattentive ADD. I was diagnosed with ADHD about 12 years ago, after my oldest child was diagnosed. It is challenging being an ADDer mom and trying to raise three kids with ADD/ADHD, but our home is far from dull!

Ever since I have been 11 years old, I has been passionate about writing articles, stories and poems. In addition, I enjoy sharing my faith by writing about my personal journey through overcoming difficult life experiences. My passion for writing is inspired by faith to touch others lives for encouragement, inspiration and hope.

The question for the day is DO YOU FOLLOW YOUR HEART OR YOUR HEAD WHEN MAKING IMPORTANT DECISIONS?

There are so many decisions that crop up on a daily basis. Some decisions are minor, such as "What flavor Starbucks should I drink?" OR "What shall I buy at the grocery store?"

Other decisions are much more important and can alter your entire life if you accidentally make the wrong choice, such as "I am not going to take my Adderall for one month." OR "I hate my job so I am going to quit!"

RETHINK THE CHAOTIC HOLIDAY SEASON.....

I named the turkey Billy in honour of Billy Boyd who played Peregrin "Pippin" Took in Lord of the Rings. Think of a New York accent. After all, a turkey is a kind of boyd, isn't it?
Next year I think I'll call the bird Liona after the classical guitarist :)
Oh yes, and spaghetti squash too. Yum! And cranberry sauce.
I'm not sure how we got into the habit of her cooking the holiday suppers but it's fun to hang around the kitchen like she does with me.

First, my son was diagnosed in 1999 when he was 9 (he's now 19). While we were reading books about ADD (for my son), my husband and I both (separately) thought to ourselves, "Hey this could be me". My husband was 33 at the time, I was 35. A few years later, my daughter was diagenosed when she was 10 (she is now 16).

Sorry it took so long to reply-today is my first unrestricted day, and I feel great. The laproscopic surgery went well and the healing process is well underway. It is NOTHING like I was expecting-then again the extremist in me always prepares for the worst, hopes for the best, and usually comes out on top...albeit the far left field, but hey...LOL
Anyway, thank you for thinking of me and having me as a friend; I now have two. Still trying to decide if Brian's request is a facilitator-courtesy thing like Tom from MySpace ;) (which btw took me TWO WEEKS TO FIGURE OUT when you sign up on myspace he is automatically added as a friend--two deleted accounts and fourteen days later I was relieved to find out I didn't have a stalker, and that I am a dweeb, lol).

Anyway-will be on more as I have 1 more week of Vacay left. Hope to chat soon!
