Well, I stumbled accross it, experimenting with a photo program that didn't have black & white.....so I was messing with the brightness/ contrast. Now, I just like to use it on them sometimes when I'm feeling creative! haha.

It has been at least 12 years since I was first diagnosed. In the earlier days, I had tried Ritalin and Strattera, but my doctor said that my body is too sensitive to those medications. For many years, I took only natural supplements to attempt to gain more focus and attention.
Two months ago, I started taking Adderall and I am excited that it is actually working out good! I definitely noticed on the first day that I has so much motivation, energy and I got tons of work accomplished!
I am a mother of 3 kids who have all been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD.
My kids are 11, 14 & 18 years old. It is challenging at times trying to manage my kids, myself, my home, marriage and typical responsibilities, but there is never a dull moment in our home!

- About me & Relation to ADHD or other condition?
- I am a 31 year old mother of 4, blessed wife, recently diagnosed with ADHD after years and years of being medicated for other things, like OCD, Depression, Anxiety, only to mark "normal" on the MMPI! I started thinking more seriously about testing for myself after my son was diagnosed @ age 7, however I knew from about 3 years old. They just wouldn't do anything til 7, I assume they associate the diagnosis evidently more with school, (?) but the thing with him and school is that he is ""perfectly"" behaved and lacking in the learning areas of things I know he knows. I think his mind was focusing too hard to behavior vs. learning that he has fallen behind. This is a fresh start for us both with many things. I finally was able to watch a full movie after about 2 weeks of starting medication, (Adderall XR), I got my house back in order, was able to read AND COMPREHEND books!!!! Then had an insurance problem, switched me to Vyvanse and I felt like I went crazy by day 7, hence @ this moment am not on any meds, but switching back to Adderall XR next week, as it helped tremendously once it got "settled" into my system. And FYI, starting those new meds is a little indimidating, especially the first day.....but give it a few more =-}
