Thank you Penni. You really put your finger on the 'professional button'. Actually, when I am with my therapy patients and coaching clients it is the most peaceful and least painful time for me due to not having to focus on me. It's nice to connect…

I'M BACK!

Hello all of you wonderful people who have tried to befriend me and get to know me over the past two years. I have been 'missing in action'. I'm Back!

For 2 years I steadily traveled back and forth from Vermont where I live, to Florida where my elderly, ill parents lived. I tried to run my therapy practice, my coaching business and my life while helping to take care of my parents. Unfortunately my writing suffered. Actually, because of the pain, I've been blocked most of those 2 years. Over a 2… Continue

Hello Judi !

I'm a French author who has ADHD herself and who's writing a book about the good sides of ADHD. Particularly, I'm searching testimonies of people who can see the positive traits of it in their life. I'm reading your profile, I told to myself that you're one of the best persons to talk about it. So, if you're interested to share your experience with my future readers, please contact me to my personal address :

Hi Judi! I started a new group here on ADDer World, Coaching Corner. I'd love for you to join. For coaches, it's an opportunity to interact with the members here, advertise your services, and be listed in the new Coaching Directory. If you'd like to be listed, please send me the information you'd like displayed. Please feel free to add discussions to the group with whatever resources you'd like to share. Hope to see you there!

Hi Judi,
what exactly does an ADD coach do? I've been diagnosed for three years now and I haven't heard anyone really explain this... I like to write on here and offer encouragement and advice to others and I'm sure some of what you do entails that, but let me know. I'm fascinated by the idea of ADD coaching. Thanks and God bless,
Sheila

Hello Judi I checked out your website on ADD coaching and found out you went to school in Plattsburgh NY...that is only about 45 minutes from where I live. You also have a back ground is substance abuse, that is what I do for a living , In Saranac lake NY. Do you know if there are ADD coaches in or around that area? I am interested in hearing more about it.
thanks

Hey, I got into reading your website, pretty cool and I had a comment. There is the racehorse analogy and you say mindfulness matters, I like that statement! In all the fire instruction I give in my agency, it seems to me that students are so stuck on learning the material to pass a test and get their cards punched to move up the chain of command - my advice to all my students is similar in that I tell them they had better have good situational awareness and see the big picture, because most accidents and deaths in my business where because someone was so hyperfocused on their piece of ground, they did not have situational awareness of what the whole fire was doing and where they were in relation to the high impact areas, kind of like this. Our job is tough at times, other times it seems like just another little old lightning strike we will be on for a couple hours and hike out!! This can be so deadly to think like this, my people have to get experience under their belts to understand they had better get as much of the picture before they engage that fire!! So that is what you blog got me thinking, it is the same way when we work with a lot of aircraft moving around, that is a low occurence job for an on the grounf firefighter, but has HUGE risks if all the situational awareness is not analyzed! Maybe ADHD'ers could view it the same way?
