Thanks Kevin and appreciate it, I am healing well! The procedure I had is such a good one, I felt changes in the bothersome symptoms as soon as the next day!
I was just being my old sarcastic self about Keath's latest blog over at her site! Curing ADHD, in my humble opinion, is very misleading and it just bothers me everytime I see people claim they can cure it!!! Sooooooo, I when they figure out the cure, I will volunteer for that study!
I’m 42 so I am guessing I was in my early teens when ABBA was at their peak. I was surprised by how many songs I still know word for word. They must be drilled into my brain somewhere. :)
Thanks for subscribing to the About.com site, too. I really enjoy writing for it and I love connecting with people through that site and this one. People have been so kind.
The post Lizard is referring to is an article that addresses the treatment approaches to ADHD. It begins “There is no ‘cure’ for ADHD, however, there are many treatment approaches that may alleviate or significantly decrease ADHD symptoms.” I debated whether or not to use the word cure. It makes ADHD sound like a sickness and though ADHD can cause many frustrations and struggles, I do believe that it is also just a natural part of an individual who has it. It’s not something to get rid of, but something with symptoms to learn to gain control over.
Sometimes there are misunderstandings that medications can totally get rid of symptoms. Medication can often help people gain better control over symptoms while they are on the medicine, but medication doesn’t eliminate ADHD like an antibiotic may eliminate an infection. Studies have found that medication combined with organizational strategies and a good support system is most effective for managing symptoms.
I see you have recently joined this site. I am going to send you a friend invite! :)
