About me & Relation to ADHD or other condition?

Both of my children as well as my husband have ADHD

At 10:11am on November 10, 2009, DANA said…: Hello & Welcome Lisa to ADDer World! Over 11 years ago, I was suspecting that I had ADHD. My son was very young when he was evaluated and diagnosed with ADHD. He had all the common symptoms so it was not difficult to diagnosis him.

As for myself, it took much persistence for me to find an expert in adult females with ADHD. After a thorough evaluation, I was diagnosed with ADHD. At first, I was upset with the fact that I went 33 years without knowing and I had truly struggled my entire life. However, I moved forward and began to manage ADHD.

Since then, my two daughter's have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. My middle child, at the age of 13, was diagnosed with inattentive ADD. She was much more difficult to identify ADD because she appeared to do fine all through elementary school.

How old was your husband when he was first diagnosed with ADHD? How old are your children and do they receive any accommodations in school?
