Cordialement,

Véronique St-Martin

My case is so bad, i have practically given up in the middle of a 3 hour exam, about 30 mins, because I couldn't get organized for a test. I ended up guessing things through because the agony of having to read through a sentence is completely insane, I feel like i am pinned down and I want to run around, writing essays is complete torture. Why? you can't get a transition because unrelated thoughts ideas pop out with every new word i think off... i think faster than I can possible formulate an order of ideas

Mark,

Thanks again. My challenge right now is following through on one thought and articulating it. I have a lot of things that want to spill out, creates a lot of confusion and anxiety for me. I dislike having to write anything, because that is when all these ideas come all at once, and the min i start writing i am frustrated because i am so mixed up with everything else. I try to take notes and write out what I need to do, and i can't get organized, in my mind or on papers, so what i find myself doing is giving up on a lot of things... I just want to be able to focus on one thing, I know that I am intelligent, but I don't understand why my mind is extremely active and wont let me process things one at a time.

Salut Marc et Bienvenue!:)

J'ai vecu a montreal jusqu'a l'age de dix ans! Thank you for your comment and offer. What a great thing to be coaching people with ADD/ADHD. Not sure if you read my post 'Undiagnosed ADD', it explains a little why I think I have it. I would love to have a webcam/telephonic coaching session especially since it is very hard to find someone specialized in adult ADD here in Saudi. Frankly with increased responsibility, it is becoming even more important for me to find a solution. I am getting ready to travel on a trip mid december-jan and would love to schedule an appointment for when I'm back.. will do that through your site. Looking forward to it:) Good luck in your work.

All the Best,
Haya

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. I have ADD, I am sure it was probably ADHD as a child. I have no control over what my mind wants to do. My biggest problem is focusing on one thing long enough to complete it. I cannot read a page of a book without a million distractions, I have been trying to school, but I am so frustrated because I am unable to keep up with any reading. My mind wants to do a lot of things once in a while. I feel tremendous frustration when I have to ... Ok, I cannot go on right now, I don't feel like writing right now... sorry

Cool that you are a coach and help kids find their strengths - I am trying to do that with my own 15 year old daughter, it is a long road, but I am seeing some positive results with her, the issue I have in our community is that so many teachers, coaches and others will tell you - oh yeah, I understand ADD kids, when they really do not! Glad to meet you and I will check out your link later!
