About me & Relation to ADHD or other condition?

Son 13 diagnosed just before last birthday. In process of trying to get diagnosis for myself.

Can't sleeeeeeep.

Suffering really bad insomnia right now, which is why i come online when you guys are just up and i on the other side of the world should be asleep. If i didn't have my 4 kids i would be asleep now. I worry about how my own problems affect my kids. Especially when i am cranky from lack of sleep, or when i'm really depressed as i am now. I just feel like escaping right now, but there's nowhere to go. Ok, well there is here of course, and that's a big relief. It feels good just sharing this with you all.

Diagnosis

Well a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge hello to everyone. I guess it's been a while. Last time I was around there were only about 40 members. My how things change in just a few months.
Well, following on from my last blog post, I did eventually get a diagnosis of adhd combined type. Well that came as a shock, NOT! Diagnosis would make all the difference to my life

Hi all. Not sure if anyone read my comment about visiting my local mental health doctor about possible diagnosis. I should've blogged it. Anyway, i had to a little less than an hour to give alot of background information. I had a pretty dysfunctional childhood, and it's easy to read into that and say ' well no wonder you have problems'. At 9:39pm on July 6, 2008, Lizard (aka, Butthead) said…: My job is a Deputy Fire Staff officer for a National Forest and I am responsible for program management of wildland fire protection, fuels management, and aviation activities. I also am responsible for Natural disaster Incident Command and non fire emergence managment. So we have lots of lightning storms this time of year into early october that ignite forest (wildland fires) fires, it is my job to coordinate with the unit fire mangers on 4 units on the forest for resources, budget, training, safety, etc...............

So, when we have fires I send handcrews and engines that are called Initial Attack, if the fires exceed my pre established Initial Attack forces, I have to call additional resources in such as smoke jumpers - these are just fire personnel that parachute out of the jumper plane near the fire and fight the fire, we also have heli rappellers who slide down ropes from the helicopter to remote fires and we have one hotshot crew we sponsor! So that is it in a short summary for you!

I did not do anything fun last night, I work weekends in the summer so we have 7 day a week coverage for fires! We picked up another two sleeper fires from a lightning event over a week ago - I put smokejumpers on them cause they were in some remote nasty country! Gotta get to work now! Later.

The youngest and I went for a motorcycle ride will everyone and the park was shooting fireworks - she thought that was super cool! I cooked on the grill and then we shot some cool fireworks ourselves and then watched a movie! It was good, I am feeling pretty good these days and positive and I like that change myself!
