And ironically, it wasn't until I started my transition that I began to feel the connection. As I watched the movie with a much more sensitive mind, I began to see it. So, I watched it again. And again. New symbolism that I hadn't seen before appeared with each viewing. New thoughts. New perspectives. Suddenly, it wasn't an action movie anymore. It was a movie about life, about society, about being an individual, about freedom, about destiny, and about fate.

Morpheus:
You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth.

Neo:
No.

Morpheus:

Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.
