You are assuming most ADDer pregnancy are planned, from what I gather from your post. Let's think about this for minute--poor impulse control, intense emotions, poor judgement..... I would guess that many ADDer pregnancies are not planned at all. ...

Not sure which comments you mean... could you provide a few more details. Could it be that you commented on a blog that is being moderated? That just means the author of the blog inspects the comments before allowing them to be posted. Also, could be your computer as some people have had the problem in Vista. If you are good at writing or administrative tasks this coud be possible as well. I'm actually in the process of developing another website to provide these links to the public for free. As I have been arranging partnerships with these companies. Let me know if your still interested in this type of work.

I'll be honest with you the lawyer that I have is a public defender , I have tried to hire my own lawyer but every lawer that I have been to has a retainer fee of a thousand dollars , not to menton the fact that all the lawyers I've been to won't even try to work with me financually - allowing me to make payments , I've also done some digging as far as trying to find a lawyer here in Asheville Bucombe county to see if I can find a lawyer that specializes in ADD/ ADHD but apparently there aren't any . I tell ya Sally it's really sad that my own state won't even help me . I'm trying to do my best not to live in the past & trying to do my best to move on and do what's right for my son ,but that's kinda hard when everyone else has mucked all that up . Right now I'm fighting with all I have to be able to keep my parental rights some how.

- Hi Sally! I used to live in Las Vegas when I first got married. For four years, my husband and I lived in Las Vegas, but once we started having kids, we moved back to our hometown in Pittsburgh, PA.
As far as challenges with work, yes, I have experienced many job-related ups & downs. My sisters and mother always criticized me for job hopping. In all honesty, there are some real pro's and con's about working & having ADHD.
This is an excellent website to just be yourself. We all have similar experiences and symptoms so we are here to encourage one another and to share.

Bless your heart - it's always confounding when others think they have the answers for you and they seem to think these answers are no-brainers! The best suggestion I can give you for finding a job is to not be so concerned about the type of job or benefits. It will be very important just to get your feet wet. Maybe a cashier job in a retail chain or something like that, just to get started and get a taste. Try not to think about what you should be doing or how long it would take to move up. One of the difficulties with ADHD is that we often seem to put ourselves behind the 8 ball by thinking too much about what could be, or should be, or what we deserve and don't have. This type of thinking leads to depression. I stopped myself from doing a lot of things simply becuase I would be caught up in thinking how long it would take and all that could be involved etc... that's what I can 'block thinking' becuase it blocks us from doing what needs to be done. Have you had therapy or thought of therapy of some sort? If you can't afford it, maybe try finding an ADHD support group in your area? This site is also good to find supportive, caring people. We will root you on and share our experiences with you.

Lizard (aka, Butthead) said… - Sounds rough, I am sorry, untreated ADD can do these things to you and sounds like some depression going on there! Is there anyway you could get into some counseling? It sounds like money is short for you, but that might be a start! Hang in there, life changes, things come along that you recognize as opportunities to deal with your situation, you will be OK because I think you realize this is not really what you want! I am glad your here!

You are a very strong person and I admire that in you. The difficulties you have gone thru in your life time are some that most people could not cope with. Your faith in God is inspiring and certainly has brought you thru these rough times.

ABOUT RUNS IN THE FAMILY
I've been trying to figure out a way to ask this question for a long time without affending anyone and it relates to the blog about RUNS IN THE FAMILY. I myself have one child and I was not aware that I was ADHD at the time of my pregnancy. I thank God each day that she did not inherit ADHD. But now she is having her own children and I can see many traits of ADHD in my grand children. Why do I make life so hard?
I've been away from the group for a few weeks now thinking my life is finally on the up side and things are going well. I started a new job working for a new fashion designer. I do all of the hand sewing of beads and sequins, I sew on anything extra that needs to be added to the garment and come up with how to design these embellishments. I started my first project and it took me forever because I wanted it to be perfect and the end result I was pleased. Until I took the piece over to her house… Continue

I don't get it!
I have been looking for a job for 10 years now and I just found the perfect one for me. I am very creative and finding one in that field is really hard.
