Saif ur Rehman said… I did extensive reading on this topic and it seems that even the professionals have not reached a consensus on what exactly is ADD/ADHD. Recently I read a research article on Adult ADD published in 2008 by Susan Holladay of Ohio State Univ, and out of 20 or so indicators, about 10 were present to varying degrees where as in some, I was actually quite opposite.
I also did some generalized (and long and boring) online tests and that indicates that some of my beahviour is related to soemthing called schizotypal personality disorder. well.. I know that all the habits and personality traits addressed in these disorders are normal human behaviour that has grown out of proportion to the extent where it disrupts the life of a person.
Thanks for your feedback. I am working on developing some coping stratagies and will share my proress in the forums.

She is going back at the beginning of next month for another eye exam. Is this something I could get from my eye doctor? She does not complain that her eyes are tired.

I have never been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. In my country (Pakistan) this is an unknown thing. I am not very sure if i really do have ADD as it might be some other behaviour problem, the only source I have is online tests and most of them give me between "moderate and high" likelyhood of ADD.
My average grades are not due to inability to articulate my thoughts. Infact my verbal abilities are way above average. The reason for my average grades is the inability to study. My father actually used to lock me up in my study for a few hours every day during my vaccations. There was no distraction there and I would sit infront of my piles of books and notes but just could not bring myself to sustain the effort longer than 15-20 minuites. Even if i continued by forcing myself, i would zone out and day dream.
On the other hand, i could read books and articles that were on subjects of my interest for upto 18 hours every day, and most of them were related to science far advanced than my grade in school.
I actually learn very fast and with great ease in classroom environment, given that I am sitting right in the front row without anyone else's movent causing me distraction.
I still find it extremly difficult to get myself to start the actual work that i need to do. I have to-do lists and what not.. they just don't cut it.
I really don't know whats wrong with me actually, i just know that something is not right with my behaviour and i have been trying to correct this on my own for the past almost 15 years.
Oh well..
