Off to the Reston VA. AmenClinic
Hello to all the Adderworld members and visitors...
Being 41, as of recently, and to havebeen said to have ADHD in the past and been lucky enough to have some $$ to wisely spend, I have decided to try the well known Dr. Amens' clinic to find out for certain whether I have ADHD, BiPolar, a combination and or none of them.
Being from the NY metro area, the Reston, VA clinic location of the "Amen Clinic" is the closest and most convonient. Them being full of business and I able to luckily have the time and $ to do this, I have begun this as of Mon. 12/14/2009. I will soon share my opinions about my thoughts regarding this clinics pros/cons help or hinderness towards I becoming a happy and better patient or not after their suggestions and advice and or medicine suggestions along with my improvements and overall satisfactions or not. I was also lucky enough to go to the Amen Clinic. I went to the one in Newport Beach, CA were I lived. I was also able to do my monthly medicine management appts. there. I would guess by now you have done the testing and maybe have some results.
I thought it was a great experience and learned things about myself I was sure they were lying about. WRONG! How many times did they ask you if you had ever had a head injury? Atleast a million for me and each time I said NO. I was wrong, there it was right on my scans a hole from an injury? Oh, now I remember! A friend slammed the back hatch of his SUV down on my head. That will do it.
I hope it was as good an experience as you were hoping for. It was for me. Let us hear how it went.

Wow Ralph! Good luck. Please let us know what happens as there is also a clinic close to where I live. I think it is in Seattle, Washington. Anyway, for both myself and my son I would love to know which parts of our brains are involved in the dysfunction and if biofeedback could help us at all!
