ADD & Loving It ~ Online video addressing adults with ADD

I stumbled upon this fantastic Canadian TV special all about adults with ADD. It is called ADD & Loving It and should be required viewing for newly diagnosed adults and their families :)

*NOTE: I did a search on the previous ADDerWorld blogs and postings in the forum but could not find any reference to this video, sorry for the duplication if this was already brought up sometime in the past.

Tony,

I've sent an e-mail to TotallyADD.com, the producer of the documentary. They said that on April they will reserve the rights for the DVD production of the film. You can subscribe to their website if you want to be updated on this.

This documentary was recommended to me yesterday, however GlobalTV.com and expired it (the link above doesn't work). I have asked them to re-instate it for a short time, because so many people have recommended it, but I'm not hopeful. Plan B is to ask whether anybody here has a copy to post or are happy to send me (my expense of course),

Cheers all!

Until now I only managed to watch about 1/3 of it, but I can already say that it's a very good documentary. I wish it would come up as a DVD so I could buy it. I didn't manage to download it.

Anyway, I had both good information and a good laugh as I was watching it. A very witty presentation and sooo ADD. Thanks for sharing it, Brian.

Hey Brian! What an amazing video! Thanks for sharing! It really gave me a lot to think about! I especially appreciated the part that focuses on the 5 things ADD/ADHDers can do to make their lives easier and more successful (and how it points out that SUCCESS is the key treatment for low self esteem). The video was an excellent wake up call for me when the commentator forewarned ADD/ADHDers not to work for a caricature of a bad 5th grade teacher who is controlling, demeaning, picking on you, putting you (and other employees) down, and who acts like they don't like you all that much (and yet that's a rather common position that many ADD/ADHDers put themselves in). Thanks again for sharing - this was very enlightening for somebody who is very new to all of this.

Dana, I agree that the more information made available, the more understanding there would be for people with ADHD but also for their families. I'm still amazed at how ignorant some people very close to me are about ADHD even 10 years after my diagnosis.

Bryan, I am surprised that there hasn't been anything like this video shown on American television. Maybe all the TV studio executives are non-ADDers and do not see the real value in a program like this.

Thank you both for taking the time to comment :)

Hi Brian! Thank you for sharing this video!

Ironically, I have seen this ADD video before, but I think that I stumbled upon it when I was looking for information about ADHD. I believe that the MORE video's, books, conferences, workshops, websites and education is provided about adults and children with ADD/ADHD then the more understanding and comfortable individuals will become in openly discussing their own personal experiences with ADD/ADHD.

I would love to see more video's available that specifically addresses relationships, parenting and female issues for ADDer's. By learning more about all of the area's that directly touch our lives, we will become more empowered and able to successfully manage each challenge that may come our way.
