ADDer World Book Contest: Barbara Sher's book: Refuse to Choose!

I am pleased to announce our latest autographed book contest featuring fellow ADDer, Barbara Sher's book:
'Refuse to Choose'

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Don't know what to do with your life? Drawn to so many things that you can't choose just one? New York Times best-selling author Barbara Sher has the answer--do EVERYTHING!

Member's names will be put into a box and randomly selected to choose the winner.

NEW: All new members will have their name automatically entered into the drawing box! Remember, it is possible to get your name into the box several times by following the below simple rules:

How to get your name in the box:

1) Write a blog post, or, forum post, also replying to any blog, or, forum post will be considered an entry into the drawing box. Posting photos and music counts too! I will have help keeping track. This means that each time you do any of the above your name will be placed into the drawing box, yes, multiple times; however, it only takes one entry to win and only one entry can win! The more your name is in the box, the better your chances are to win. I do consider my personal blog a part of ADDer World, therefore, any member’s comments made there will be inputted for the contest too – just be sure to use the same email address that you have signed up here with.

2) If you would like to double your chances, any NEW member who uses your name as a referral will equal your name going into the box TWICE for that single referral.

This contest will run from 19 Oct 09 until 21 Nov 09 and the winner will be announced 22/23 November 09 via email and on the front page here! New members who join during this time will also be included into the drawing via the above rules. Only members of our ADDer World Social Network will be included in the drawing box.

If you have any questions please post them here with a reply.

If you have a blog, or, website please let your readers know about this contest! Remember, referrals count twice! Please spread the word and please let me know about it.

Thanks,

Bryan

I picked up this book and have read most of it. I really like it. It gives practical advice as well as validation.

I really saw myself in this book.

It is about people who have many interests and often have problems sticking with any one thing. She says it is okay, some people are just wired to be generalists, not specialists.

Would anyone be interested in discussing this at the book group? I have reads lots of interesting books, but the book group does not appear to be very active.

I am encouraged to see so many people, like you Bryan, telling their stories. Up until now I have suffered in silence and have felt like the Wizard of Oz living very guardedly and working alone so no one would see the unusual way that I function to accomplish grand events. It is very isolating and it wasn't until I had my son that i realized how I have to do something. He can't live like I did. I am okay but my life was very active and successful in lots of ways to many, but I was and always feel I don't fit in, don't relate the same way to the world, it does make me sad. I never had trouble having men fall in love with me. I am lucky to be considered attractive. I think my heart, enthusiasm, creativity, caring, wonder, love, sense of humor and my passion make me beautiful. It is sad when lovers project what they want you to be instead of who and what you are like. I am not interested in expensive things as much as creatively beautiful or unique, brilliant ideas. I have more trouble hanging onto girlfriends. I am lucky to have a few I love. Thanks Bryan for this and all you are doing. I will read all the books. I am going to a CHADD meeting Monday night and will hear a speaker talk about how ADD people can have great ideas. she coaches ADD people in a way so they can follow through with their ideas. I will let you know how that goes.

Agreed! Though I'd like to win an autographed copy, I'm adding it to my list of Winter Readings...
Anyone reccommend any other must reads? :)
