I am happy to announce our latest autographed book contest featuring Dr. Lara Honos-Webb's book:

The Gift of ADHD is by far one of the most well known books about ADHD and I am proud to offer it here as a free giveaway, signed by the author. I would like to add that Dr. Lara Honos-Webb was the very first professional who agreed to read my first book One Boy's Struggle: A Memoir - Surviving Life with Undiagnosed ADD What she said about it can be found when you scroll down on the mainpage. I was overwhelmed by her endorsement and those that have followed by you and others. I didn't realize then that there would come a time that I would be offering such helpful books, signed by the authors, for you and others. It just goes to show that we all can reach out and care about others and offer our support, that's what ADDer World and our members are all about!

About The Gift of ADHD:

A diagnosis of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) does more than label a child's behavior problems—it affects his or her self-esteem, relationships and future, says psychologist Honos-Webb. The way parents and teachers treat an ADHD child can mean the difference between a successful life and an unnecessarily difficult one. In this sensitive exploration of ADHD, Honos-Webb uses case studies, field research and her personal experience as a clinical psychologist and sister of a brother with ADHD to teach parents how to become advocates for their children and "reframe" their view of the disorder. While most people are familiar with the dramatic behavioral symptoms of ADHD—severe inattention and impulsiveness—there is a less-reported flip side: children with ADHD exhibit exceptional strengths that Honos-Webb sees as opportunities. These gifts include emotional sensitivity toward others, passion and exuberance, unusual problem-solving skills and a love of nature. The more your name is in the box, the better your chances are to win. I do consider my personal blog a part of ADDer World, therefore, any member’s comments made there will be inputted for the contest too – just be sure to use the same email address that you have signed up here with.

2) If you would like to double your chances, any NEW member who uses your name as a referral will equal your name going into the box TWICE for that single referral.

This contest will run from 15 Sept 09 until 15 October 09 and the winner will be announced 16 October 09 via email and on the front page here! New members who join during this time will also be included into the drawing via the above rules. Only members of our ADDer World Social Network will be included in the drawing box.
