Having recently been confirmed having ADHD in life at the age 40, it is a major challenge and hurdle to overcome. Yet staying positive, not worrying and trying best having what is known according to "Dr. Amen", (the well known MD. in the California and often on the WPBS Channel) "ANTS"...Always Negative Thought (s). Meeting others both online, in person such as CHADD members and just people of daily life has certainly been helpful. Life is a challenge with ADHD or not so lets make the best as possible one day at a time, eat healthy and do ordinairy exercise an do the best one can is the best advice I can share. Thanks to those I have me at this site.

All the best;

I am all for the positive in life at this moment and really think it is the key to more than at least a 75% rate which is solid in stats! I had those little negative things crawling all over me and they stuck and I realized that the statements out of my mouth were things like I should, I cant, I whatever that subjected me to failure before I even started! I am into lets lay this issue out now and break it down and it is ok to stumble along the way as long as you get up and try again! thanks for bringing this topic up, it seems timely to me!

Hi Ralph! So nice to meet you here on ADDer World! By chance, have you had the opportunity to read any of Dr. Amen's books or listened to any of his CD's? I have read a few of his books, I watched him on PBS and I have one of his CD's in which he discusses ANTS....Always Negative Thought (s). I have tried some of Dr. Amen's natural supplements for ADHD and some of them I liked very much with a good response, but there are a few supplements that were not as positive. My favorite of all the products has the ingredient Phosphatidylserine, which I think does make a huge difference for me since I am not taking medication for ADHD.

.... and that's not bad advice at all Ralph! Sometimes all we can do 'is the best we can'. When we give our best, that means we put everything we had at that moment into it and that's what is most important.
