I 'm reading a lot from people with ADD or ADHD about the many problems they are having in life. It can be hard to untangle how much that is due to ADD or is a separate issue. Especially since ADD or ADHD makes us prone to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and relationship problems. And further, it damages self esteem, which is another way to foster those other problems.
But if we have those problems, depression for one example, no matter what caused them they need treatment. Improving your life through strategies will probably help some, but probably not enough. And effectively working on the ADD or ADHD is harder if you're also depressed.
