I have heard that has happened to quite a few people, with concern to coming off of medication - I included that in a blog post recently: Click here if you'd like to read it.
The good news is that there are coping skills which may help you and there are some supplements like fish oil, Ginseng and Gingko etc, but, the best I have found is to find a personal acceptance in one's ways and the condition of ADHD. From there it is easier to find what works for you and doesn't necessarily have to work for anyone else. Be sure to talk to your doctor about any supplements you may decide to try, though.
Reading your profile makes me think of this saying ... pills don't teach skills. My pyscologist told me that last year. For me the meds slowed me down enough to learn some skills and implement them. Maybe a tweek in your meds is needed or a long acting XR.
