Been thinking about you like crazy lately...hope everything is ok. Would love to hear something from you, but totally understand if you can't come around. Sending so much love to you and the girls.....(((((((((((love and hugs))))))))))))))))).
Hi Liza. I haven't been on this site for a while but I think of you often. I hope all is well with you and that you are over your treatments. Let me know how you are doing. Steve.
Hey there...I haven't been around here lately, but you and girls are never out of my thoughts. How are you all doing? How's my Dixie? Your always in my heart my friend...((((((((Hugs))))))))
Ya, it sounds nice that you spent your really special days in Japan! I love your photo, it seems to me very friendly. I used to live in U.S.A. and U.K., I love travel but recently I have no chance to go abroad.
Instead, I'm enjoying studying science/language. Thanks, see you :)
Hey cool-you have music on your page! Rock on! Thanks for the welcome. I'm pretty open and willing to discuss most anything. I like to communicate but I'm blunt and that combined with severe impulsivity cause me to get into trouble a lot. But with medication to control the impulsivity and time to mull over my thoughts and edit them in writting, I can take on anything! I look forward to some great discussions with you! Hey-you have pictures here too! Cool! Stone Temple Pilots playing now?! Right on! And video games too! Man your page is totally cool! Where's the pizza? lol :] This page is an ADDer's joy! My medicine wore off and I'm getting totally lost in your page-must focus-must leave now! Talk to ya soon. :]
Lizard: IT IS SO GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, DELIGHTFUL and AMAZING to have YOU back!!! Don't know if I told you that yet, but, let me just be clear about it!!! MISSED YOU LIKE a CRAZY WEBSITE CREATOR!!! lol :-))
Hi. Yes divorce sucks! But,so does brain cancer. Wow! I'm using my phone right now so I didn't get to read much of your page b/c loading was slow, but you seem like a very strong, resilient woman. ...And fun! I'm so glad I came across this site. I teach high school & these last few weeks have been extremely busy, but come next week my load will be lightened & I'll be able to spend more time in "Adder...". Thanks so much for welcoming me. And you can add one more person to your (I'm sure very long) list of people sending positive, tumor pulverizing thoughts your way. :-)
Thanks for your post! The idea of stream of consciousness writing, of writing the thoughts as they come into our heads, is something I definitely plan to include in my work. I have read that what the medical community refers to as "stream of consciousness thinking" (they don't address writing but only thinking) is a hallmark of those with ADHD! So far, my experience and yours, as well as that medical quote, are all that I have located thus far on stream of consciousness and writing. If you know of other sources on this topic, do let me know. Please. :) I need all the help I can get finding information on stream of consciousness writing as a common occurence for those of us with ADHD.
Lizard,
My sister and three friends wrote a book titled, "Finding the
CAN in Cancer." They wrote it to give it away, self publishing, and that has happened. One link is: http://www.lulu.com/content/106612

Hello Lizard,
Yes, being diagnosed has explained a lot about myself. Several years before I finally sought help, I read an article that gave some 25 symptoms of ADHD, and I had 21! But, I never went to follow up. Finally, it was depression that took me to a psychologist, and then a psychiatrist. I had coped quite well in that people didn't know how hard it was to do some things. In some other areas, I had colleagues whose positive comments helped me. For example, on a group project, I was not comfortable with the direction we were going, but I couldn't put it into words; it was intuitive. A colleague said that in her experience, if Dave was hesitant, there was a reason; therefore we would delay the decision.
See, I am going on and on! Final words: It has been somewhat easier to do well, but I am shown every day that there is no cure for the negatives. Fortunately, the positives are great assets.
Hi Liz....thanks for saying hi! I have had several friends who've successfully navigated your current journey with support, love and trust.
Have a Great day!
