Success with medication for classroom

This video supports medication for ADHD. I believe that there are many experiences such as this young lady's. The only thing I really don't think is good about this video is that it makes no mention of side effects or possible side effects. Not mentioning the possible side effects gives the impression that this drug use is the perfect remedy.

Comment by jake on January 9, 2009 at 1:16am: well, it has the same side affects as all the other stimulants. In fact, its basically ritalin cut in half. Ritalin is made of two isomers, however only one of those is the active ingredient. So, only half the doasage is needed compared to ritalin. However, studies haven't really shown any difference in side affects, as they hoped it would. It sounds logical though, i guess its just the inactive part of ritalin must of played a smaller role in side effects than they anticipated. To be honest, I'm glad my parents never made me take that kind of stuff, as I don't think I'd be the same person and have the same perspective. Maybe I would have suffered less, but suffering stimulates a drive for understanding.

Comment by Voodoo on December 28, 2008 at 12:09am: Yes you're right about it not mentioning the side effects. The video mentioned that they started her on a long acting medication...I think it's funny that they didn't mention the short acting. Or did they mean to say longer acting?
