As an ADD I have tears in my eyes, all I wish is to hold you tight in my arms, if you don't mind...

Hi Monte,

I don't know about ADHD being far worse than ADD, they can both be quite severe. There's the side that ADD can be more devastating because it can go unrecognized much longer, whereas those who have physical hyperactivity (which is the main difference) are usually noticed earlier. Both ADHD and ADHD inattentive can be debilitating and yes, someone with ADD can blend in because they are not as fidgety, but that as I pointed out can and typically does lead to many other problems. Physically hyperactive is the main difference, although those without the H are usually mentally hyperactive and are known to have more cases of depression and PTSD. ADD and ADHD both are tough boats to sail in.

Remember ADHD is far worse than ADD. Maybe I should make a video about it. You can't be normal with these disorders. I suppose someone simply with ADD can easily be normal than someone with ADHD.

Hey, apart from the fact that you look great I have to emphasize the fact that you are a tough girl and that I really admire you for being so honest!

I always wanted to be so honest about ADHD/ADD such as you but I haven't had the courage yet in order to do the same thing as you did.

I have great respect for you and your honesty! Thank you very much! I wish you all the best! With best regards yours Nils from Germany!

you are me when I was young. I struggled so hard. although I would accomplish what I had to do, because I went about it in a way that was not the "norm" many people would judge harshly. Also, ADHD people often dont hear all the info and misunderstand instructions. we can be considered unreliable to count on because we are not prepared in time for things due to poor time management skills. This hurts because we really care greatly and usually are late because we get into trying to do too many things perfectly and cant stop. I am getting coaches for everything to get my life and work all in order . love to you it is never too late to blossom and thrive. If we can survive the chaos we have been in for years, we have the strength to thrive and arise to accomplish anything Painful moments only give us more srength.

Thank you for all the kind words! I'm so glad that this video served as more than just an outlet of my frustration. Thank you so much for watching =)

WOW...Kalstolyn..you rock girl! Thank you for expressing yourself so adequately and the affects of ADD/ADHD on society. I just turned 50, and I was told that as you age, the affects of this disorder will slow down and you will be able to concentrate, stay in one place and focus. In 2009, I graduate with my BA in Theatre and Film...after 27 years of working on this degree, with for me ADHD. Don't give up on your dreams, work with a guidance councilor at your college or university, if you have an official diagnosis of your disorder...they will work with you. I'm living proof of this...as my problem was in my writing...and I would leave out words and my syntax on my papers, wouldn't make sense. With voice activated software, my problems were eliminated and I can hear the written work, read back to me and I make any changes or edits accordingly. I ended up with an almost 80% for my last year in university as an official learning disabled student. I've written a book about "life journey" soon to be published "Stirring My Soul to Sing, Overcoming Obstacles of ADHD" and is should be available in late fall 2010. You are amazing "communicator" and you should pursue, broadcasting! Let's stay in touch! Ian

Thanks for your candid talk about how ADD affects your life. It's a shame that ADD has such a stigma and has become an excuse for many to not be responsible academically and professionally. Your voice supports a crowd of us out here. Please carry on :)
