I was reading a webcomic today and one of the characters said "risk focuses the mind." I have not heard this before but it makes sense. People tend to be more alert in potentially dangerous situations. So maybe it is something people do be more al...

Hi Joshua, I just read one of your messages about helping your sister find at home jobs. I have been looking forever for a creative type at home job and I have been scammed and also the pay sucks. I f you come across anything that has to do with sewing wood working or just making creative things please let me know, I would appreciate it so much. Thanks.
I have treated children and adults with ADHD for many years and found a lot of variability in whether the various military branches accept or discharge/deny a person for active duty when ADHD is disclosed. Some seem to get through if 'not on meds NOW' and others are denied "if they were ever on meds". Others can get accepted/retained because of implying that it was a mis-diagnosis in the past and getting someone to state this. I have had parents refuse to treat their teen's ADHD because they wanted the child to go into the military. My husband was a veteran and I feel strongly that people with ADHD can be an incredible asset to the military. However, these meds are often diverted when people go oversees, so this risk itself prejudices some branches from acceptance.
mmm oh thats a new one.. I was just wondering cause i know their really funny how they medicaly discharge. Or even admit ADHD. I used to just get in trouble.
Thanks for the invite, Joshua. I was not aware of the existence of this group. I was in my late 20's
when I invested $4,000 and realized a profit of 6 figures just a few years later. The rest is history( thank you Steve Jobs). Nice to meet you.
Good for you! You just keep striving for excellence.
I believe Financial is the way to go, too. I work at Primerica Financial Services sometimes. As for now, I'm mainly busy with my new born.
I'm not taking meds, since I've found out I was pregnant.
So far my moods and life are manageable without medications, so I just keep this way.
When did you leave US Navy?
I didn't know you could get expel of US Navy due to ADD.
I was diagnosed early at age 12. Was also discharged from the US Navy due to it. Learned over the years there are things I can't control and then the most can be controlled. I am not on any medications currently since leaving the Navy. I think the key is staying busy and trying to organize at the same time.
