I'd like to ask a question ... Hey, I've got ADD ... you never know what unusual questions I may come up ... I've thought a lot about ADD coaching, and I've also visited websites offering it, but I still can't grasp exactly what it is, which bring…

Jason, have you tried Vyvanse? It works very well for me. It's fairly new, and a lot of doctors still don't prescribe it. If not, ask. Now ... between you, me, and the lamp-post ... the THC is great for slowing down your thought processes, and allo…

After trying a few other medications, I've found Vyvanse to be the best. For anyone who has taken meds in the past and didn't like taking them, yet you still deal with a lot of frustrating symptoms, I highly recommend giving Vyvanse a try. I don't…

OK ... now that I've finally put up a profile picture, please keep the magazine and photo-shoot offers to a minimum. I'm just trying to teach myself to be a little more open.

Well, unless they pay really well! In which case all offer will be accepted! hehehe :-)

The New Super-Duper Turbo-Charged "How to Communicate Effectively" Course with Free ultra-mini-ebook!

Yeah ... right!

Communication is the darnedest thing. It's frustrating at times. To me, communication alone is overwhelming enough, let alone add the rest of the days activities, chores, and whatnot to the pile.

I have people I'd like to see and/or talk to ... but I don't call. I always have some reason or other to do it later. I have forums and places like adderworld where I can communicate with others ...

But as I put it off ... until "a better time,"Continue

Swimming the Amazon!

I have right here ... in my greedy little hands ... a book ...

"One Boy's Struggle: A Memoir".

And I look forward to reading it!

Well ... it came last night and I read the first 20 pages or so ... so technically I guess ... I look forward to getting back to it. I can tell you it has quickly become very intriguing.

(I'm such an adder ... )

I thought this would be a good opportunity to share a few words about reading with my fello… Continue

Big Band Fun!

Now that I can look at my past through the lens of adhd, a lot of things are quite funny! This is a short story, but one of my favorites to tell, because the adhd is SO OBVIOUS!

I played trombone in the band. I wasn't your typical band-type kid, but I liked playing music. It was tough at times. For example, I actually wanted to take gym class and play dodgeball, so I had a hard time relating to many of my fellow bandmates who took band to get out of gym. But I did like playing in the band, so i… Continue

Mike thanks for all the great insights! I completely agree with you about trying not to make judgements about the things I want. I don't know why but it feels so natural to deny a desire that I have judged to be wrong or inappropriate. And once I start trying to deny something I start to obsess about it which just draws me in more - which is what it sounds like used to happen to you with food.

But once I identify and acknowledge it, I can deal with the DESIRE instead of feeling like im fighting with the object of the desire - food, alcohol, sex, ADHD, etc. I don't know why this works but my theory is that feelings and desires belong to me so I can manage or at least deal with them. On the other hand, the objects of my feelings are out there in the world and I am pretty much powerless over everything in the world. The only thing I have the power to change (sometimes more than others) is myself.

yeah, that is cool about the funk thing! We are all entitled to some of that and days or a week like that! I am in and out of a funk, I think that is my blessing of ADHD, too hyper to stay in one!
